The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission accepts comments from intervenors during the initial scoping period for an interstate natural gas pipeline project.

I worked with an intentional community in Nelson County to compile, edit, and submit their comments on the impact the proposed project would have on their 500 acre land trust, owned in common by about 90 members and their children. Categories of impact included long-term survival of the community; economic impacts; water quality, erosion and sedimentation; and impact on forest habitat for threatened species.
